Well equipped cottage, in the centre of Grassmere. Great walks around Grassmere and Rydal water which is close by. Good bus connections to Windermere and Ambleside and Keswick. Quiet surroundings except the birds! But we enjoyed that. You can also use the swimming pool for free. Lovely shops, restaurants, Co-op just around the corner from the cottage where you can find everything you need for a lovely stay.
We had a great time! It's our second time staying here.
Worth a try.

We arrived to find the lovely cottage all snug and warm with the gas wood burner blazing, a wonderful touch. Open plan living downstairs with a well equipped kitchen for self catering. A lovely double bedroom, single bedroom and modern bathroom with separate shower upstairs. Compact and bijou. The lovely owner is next door and introduced himself to us as we arrived and said to ask if we needed anything. It is situated down a quiet one way street in the centre of Grasmere with shops, pubs and eateries a stones throw away. We spent 5 nights here and loved every minute of it! Want to go back......
